Neco Williams Signs for Nottingham Forest

Forest Agree £17m Deal with Liverpool

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Wales defender Neco Williams from Liverpool for a reported fee of £16 million.

Williams Signs Four-Year Contract

Williams has penned a four-year contract with Forest and becomes their second signing of the summer after Taiwo Awoniyi. The 23-year-old is expected to provide competition for Serge Aurier at right-back.

Williams has been capped 23 times by Wales and was part of their squad at the 2022 World Cup. He has also made 33 appearances for Liverpool.

Nottingham Forest have had a busy summer in the transfer market, having already brought in Awoniyi, Dean Henderson, Giulian Biancone, and Lewis O'Brien. They are aiming to strengthen their squad ahead of their return to the Premier League.

The signing of Williams is a significant coup for Forest and shows their ambition in the transfer market. The Welshman is a talented young defender with a bright future. He will be hoping to help Forest establish themselves in the Premier League and make a name for himself on the international stage.
